Protest GGM Namaz: Called on one site, staged

Turugram: Following the consecutive weeks of protests marked by Bhajan’s rescity to Namaz in the open sector 47, a group of people on Friday collected about 50 meters from the site where prayer was held – this time in sector 12 – and collected slogans like “Jai Shri Ram “and” Bharat Mata Ki Jai “.
As in previous weeks, there was a severe spread of police with police who positioned themselves between prayer meetings and protesters to prevent escalation.
An argument broke when they prevent the demonstrators approach the church.
Then, supported by protesters, Kamesh Saini, a resident of Rajiv Nagar (Sector 13), filed a complaint of the police, accusing them offering Namaz on the site not local residents and police must check their identity cards.
ACP (old city) Ashok Kumar said the complaint was sent to the administration.
Kulbhushan Bharadwaj, a former President of BJP Gurugram District who led the protest, said some residents were not happy with Namaz who were detained in open areas.
“In the coming weeks, we will protest again in various parts of the city,” he added.
Altaf Ahamad, a member of Gurugram Nagrik Ekta MANH who had previously submitted an administrative petition to act against efforts to disturb Namez, said the protesters went very close to the Sector 12 prayer site and shouted slogans while the prayers.
“The real problem is not a name in the open.
They intend to create hatred in the community,” he thought.
He added that people gathered in open areas for Namaz in various parts of the city because of comfort.
“They usually gather in small groups, offer prayers and then return to work.
Many organizations also set a place for Friday prayers.
It only took 15-20 minutes,” Ahmad said, adding that it was uncomfortable during working hours to travel 2- 4 km to offer Namaz and then return.
Namaz is, meanwhile, offers peace and without interruption on this Friday in sector 47, said ACP (aware) safe Yadav.
Protests in the area have been summoned earlier this week after the Head of Rwa Local Meet with Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram.
The city first saw protests and opposition to Namaz in the open area in 2018.
At that time, Namaz was offered at 106 places in the open.
After protests, administration held a series of meetings with people from the community and appointed 37 sites for Namaz to be offered.
Shehzad Khan, a member of the Muslim EKTA Manchor who was in the committee who had identified places to offer Namaz, said the city had a large Muslim migrant population but only 13 mosques.
“The idea at that time was to have a place for Namaz in various parts of the city, on the land of the government away from the residential area.
We have identified 37 areas, some of them change later in other places.
One of these areas shifted to sector 12,” Khan said .
He added, “We don’t want to conflict and be ready to move if we are provided alternative space.” Said that religion should not ’causes of conflict’, Gurugram District BJP President Gali Kakkar said, “Administration has appointed several places to offer Namaz, but if the regional residents have a problem, peaceful solutions must be found.” On whether the protesters were associated with the party, he said BJP members were also residents of the city.
At the same time, he added, the party was not involved in protest.
Union Minister Krisan Pal Gurjar, who represented Faridabad at Lok Sabha and was in the city on Friday, was asked about the protest and involvement of BJP members too.
“No one has to take the law in their hands.
The same law for everyone,” he said.
