Protest to continue, say Netas

New Delhi \ Bathinda: Test the government’s decision to record three new agricultural laws as “historic victory” for farmers in India, Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) – Platform with trade unions – on Friday decided to continue with her protest along the Delhi border Until the law was officially revoked, and said he would receive a call on Saturday about how to maintain the momentum for the request for the legislation to guarantee the price of the Minimum Remunerative Support (MSP).
“The fight will continue until the MSP is made correctly legally,” said Yogendra Yadav, the leader of the farmer and founder of Jai Kisan Andolan, one of the SKM constituents, which reflects the mood in different farmer groups.
It is hoped that farmers will now focus on protests, especially in the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab polls with BKU leaders (Tikait) Rakesh Tikaites too emphasizing on the need to overcome MSP problems.
Most of the farmer leaders argue that protests on the Delhi border must continue until, at least, the law is formally revoked either through parliament or regulations.
The parliamentary winter session will begin on November 29 and conclude on December 23.
“Law technically can be revoked through regulations, but it will be appropriate if it is done by parliament.
Because the bill is passed in parliament, it must be better.
Revoked through bills in parliament,” Kashyap Subhash, a constitutional expert and former Secretary General of Lok Sabha, to Tii .
The agricultural union, meanwhile, continued their efforts to mobilize a large number of farmers to protest sites along the Delhi border to mark their first anniversary protest on November 26.
“Likewise, there is also an intense mobilization that occurs to make Lucknow Kisan Mahapachayat (November 22) success,” SKM said.
“The announcement of PM is a big victory of agricultural corporatization efforts and aggressively pursuing neoliberal economic policies,” said SKM leader and Secretary General of AIK Hannan Molelah.
Ending the announcement “Step Welcome to the right direction”, SKM said there were several pending demands, including legal guarantees for procurement in MSP and withdrawing electricity amendment bills.
