Greater Noida: a group of household staff protested outside the housing community in Bibrakh on Tuesday after one of them allegedly slapped by his employer after the argument on his salary.
The case has been registered at the employer.
Purnima (28), a resident of Ghaziabad, has visited his employer’s flats at Panchsheel Greens on Monday night and asked for his delayed salary.
“He was on leave for the last 3-4 days.
On Monday night, he went to ask his salary but his employer, Sangeeta, began to shout at him.
Both have a heated argument and Sangeeta is believed to have slapped Purnima,” said a senior officer of the Bibrak Police Office.
Purnima, said police, has worked at Sangeeta’s house for the past two months but allegedly not yet paid for so long.
Sangeeta has a six-month-old baby.
“On Tuesday morning, a group of household staff gathered outside the public and protested against attacks on Purnima.
Call from community management was made to the police station and a team rushed to place.
The two parties reached the settlement and Purnima was given a delayed contribution.
Apologize for his behavior, “the police said.
Purnima, however, went ahead and filed a complaint against his employer for allegedly slapping him.
“Based on complaints, we have registered a case against Sangeeta under Section 323 (voluntarily causing injury) from the IPC.
Investigation is underway,” he said.
The dispute between household staff and his employer has taken a change of violence in July 2017.
The 300-strong mass armed with sticks and stones have invaded the Mahagun Moderne Society in Sector 78, believes one of their neighbors – a 30-year-old woman who works as aid at One flat – has been captured and hit by his employer after being accused of theft.
The mass was not only a flat detrimental and community guard room, but also threw stones.
One of the guards had to shoot in the air to dissolve the masses when the police took about two hours to reach.
The employer’s family hid in a small room during violence for one hour.
They denied attacking household staff.
13 people were arrested the next day in connection with violence.
