Surat: A police officer inspector (PSI) submitted at Vapi city police station at Valsad district has been captured red-handed when taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in a complainant’s house on Sunday.According into Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials, PSI P L Dafda had taken Rs 4 lakh as cover apart from a single fridge, AC, geyser and a cabinet along with other things in the complainant. “Dafda required Rs 5 lakh in the complainant to pay his criticism. The PSI had taken Rs 4 lakh along with other family things nd had lodged an FIR. Dafda then began requiring staying Rs 1 lakh in him. The complainant subsequently approached ACB. We put a snare on Sunday and captured the PSI red-handed when shooting Rs 1 lakh bribe,” an ACB official said.According into a ACB official, ” the complainant possesses a medical shop in Vapi city. He wished to begin a new company in partnership with a buddy of his worker. The complainant’s prospective small business partner was detained by Rajasthan authorities in certain offense. Afterwards, he took Rs 10 lakh in the complainant. “Since the complainant refused to provide the sum, his would-be spouse forged medical shop records and threatened to correct in the criminal case. The complainant subsequently approached Vapi city PSI P L Dafda on April 14. However, Dafda took Rs 5 lakh to file an FIR against in the subject. After obtaining Rs 4 lakh in four instalments that the PSI resisted the criticism. Afterwards, Dafda took Rs 1 lakh in the complainant,” that an ACB officer stated.
