PATIALA: To meet the increasing electricity demand in the ongoing rice season, Venu Prasad CMD Power Power Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Monday visit the Load State (SLDC) shipping center and review the power supply situation for all consumer categories.
CMD said that to meet an increase in unprecedented demand to see the constraints of power systems, PSPCL was buying maximum power available from the open energy exchange market and on July 4, PSPCL had bought 1178 MW at a cost of Rs 4.07 per unit.
“PSPCL has bought power due to the failure of the second unit of TSPL (660MW) and fewer power plants from the Bhakhra dam (because of the lower water level).
Regarding the request of a maximum of 13,148MW 2020-21, PSPCL has supplied 13,525 MW Power in the State.
On Sunday PSPCL serves 13,213 MW of all sources including 8,188 MW (external state, including purchases), 2.425MW (IPPS), 1.740MW (thermal) and 860 MW (itself).
At an average supply of 10.3 hours Given to the agricultural sector (including the 14.7 hour border zone, the North Zone of 11 hours and 10.2 hours south zone) “, said Venu Prasad while repeating that if there is a disruption to the power supply, agricultural consumers must be compensated for fitting.
During a visit to the SLDC office, CMD in front of the Pspcl Director of Parmjeet Singh and Technical Director of PSTCL Yogesh Tandon and senior officers, showed a sharp interest in the rules regulations and appealed to SLDC officers to accept various challenges faced by PSPCL / PSTCL during the period Peak requests are ongoing and committed to state consumers.
Previously he took a review meeting, regarding the situation of Punjab power in the presence of the distribution director of Grewal DPS, Director of Commercial Gopal Sharma, Director of the Generation of Parmjeet Singh and others and discussed various steps of regulations imposed on the industry last week.
He observed that supply for agricultural consumers has increased rapidly.
It is presented that according to weather estimates IMD, Southwest Monsun is likely to be postponed and as a result of continuous dry mantra will continue to cause the request to remain on the higher side.
It was also observed that PSPCL must continue to meet the peak request of around 13500 MW in the coming days.
Meanwhile, lack of power caused by forced blackouts from other units TSPL has been managed and the possibility will be revived on Tuesday bringing help to the system.
