Thiruvananthapuram: With the level of positivity of the Daily Test (TPR) of ring over 30% in state capital, the district administration on Saturday prohibits all public functions and social meetings in the district.
In accordance with the process issued by the district administration, there are no public functions or social meetings permitted in the district.
Marries and funerals will be permitted with a tight upper limit of 50 people.
Organizers have been asked to call public functions or social meetings even if it involves less than 50 people.
All governments, quasi-government, public sector, government institutions themselves have been asked to hold meetings, programs, and functions in just online mode.
In addition, crowd regulations will be charged strictly in shopping centers and large shops.
In the Covid cluster case formed in educational institutions, the principal / principal must close the institution for 15 days and report medical incidents to the nearest government health institution medical officers.
In the past seven days, the district reported 16,870 positive cases of 67,515 tests with 25% TPR.
About 55 Covid deaths were also confirmed during this period.
While the TPR country for the past week was 16.1%, the country’s capital recorded 25% weekly TPR.
There was a 241% increase in everyday cases in the last two weeks in the district.
The positivity test rate jumped from 9.3% to 25% during this period.
While 16,870 positive cases were reported in the last seven days, this was lower than what the district had recorded during the second peak week of 28,895.
If the weekly case number in the country is 3,027 on January 1, on January 14, it has risen to 16,870.
The active case in several local agencies, less than 50 two weeks ago swelled over 100 in local rural agencies such as Karakulam, Aruvikkara, Attingal Municipality, and Neyattinkara Municipality.
About 45 local bodies in the district recorded above 20% and 15 Panchayats recorded TPR weekly above 30% and Malayinkezhu has recorded the highest weekly TPR with 48.5%.
Around 190 samples from 392 were tested positively at Malayinkezhezhu Panchayat in the past week.
Vilavoorkal, Aruvikkara and Thirupuram also recorded weekly TPRs over 40% in this district.
Only four local bodies in the district have recorded weekly TPR below 10% in the past week; Chirayinkezhu, Vithura, Tholicaty and Elacamon.
Among them, Ellamon has the lowest weekly TPR; 5.2% After the burst in the Covid case and more restrictions followed, CPM has canceled a public meeting scheduled on Sunday.
