Puck Cert becomes a must get fuel in Delhi

New Delhi: You can immediately reject refills at the fuel pump if your vehicle does not have the Under Control Pollution (PUC) certificate.
The Delhi government has decided to make a required PUC certificate to get gasoline, diesel or CNG at the gas station.
In a statement, the Delhi government said that they had completed a policy draft so it was mandatory for vehicle owners to bring a pollution certificate and it would be placed for public opinion before being told.
A joint study conducted in 2018 by The Energy and Resources Institute and the Indian Automotive Research Association mentioned that the contribution of transportation to PM2.5 Delhi was 28% and 24% for PM10 during the winter.
The Minister of Environment Gopal Rai said the policy would ensure that the pollution of vehicles was not ply and the city air was clean.
“The policy confirms the commitment of the Government of Arvind Kejriwal to ensure clean air for all Delhi residents.
The vehicle owner must bring their pucc to the fuel pump.
In the case of Pucc was found invalid, they had to get it published again at the gas station, “said Reena Gupta, the adviser of the Minister of Environment.
At present, if you don’t have a valid pucc, visit a gas station it’s likely to get you back by Rs 10,000.
The Delhi government has been deployed by officers at gas stations to demand vehicles without Pucc.
A transportation department official said because of this tight size, the number of vehicles getting examined for pollution has risen phenomenal in recent months.
The government also works on technology-based method settings for effective implementation of this policy, so there is no long queue because it checks PUC certificates.
While the right mechanism that is working, this method can also include technology such as RFID.
In a recent direction on checking vehicle pollution, the commission for Air Quality Management said that plying from the vehicle pollution and vehicle pollution without PUC in Delhi-NCR must be stopped.
“Check for PUC can be mainly done on gasoline pumps, so congestion removes on free roads,” he added.
RAI said the Delhi government was concerned about increasing the level of pollution, especially during the winter.
“This is a very ambitious policy of being carried by the Delhi government.
North India faces grave air pollution, especially in winter.
With this policy in place, the level of pollution from each vehicle will be examined from time to time, “he added.
All vehicles run on gasoline, diesel and CNG need to get the level of vehicle emissions checked regularly.
There are 966 centers, most of them are at the fuel station, where Pucc can be obtained.
