PUDUCHERRY: The Union land of Puducherry has expanded the lockdown enforced to stop the spread of Covid-19 until June 21 (midnight) with many relaxations.
The land has got approval for restaurants and pub facilities in resorts, lodges and guesthouses to reopen from Tuesday using 50 percent capacity.
These restaurants and pubs will be allowed to operate before 5pm strictly after Covid-19 appropriate behavior, stated secretary (aid and rehab ) and penis secretary (Puducherry country executive committee) Ashok Kumar.
Kumar led the excise division to issue directions expeditiously for doorstep delivery of spirits products inside the Union land adhering to present regulations and rules to decrease the footfalls to spirits stores.
The spirits outlets such as arrack vends will soon be permitted to run from 9am to 5pm.
“Introduction of liquor stores will present a significant challenge of audience control.
Given that stores were closed for quite a while and Arabian nation started their spirits vends lately, there might be a spike of the bunch of intrastate and interstate (in the boundaries ).
The excise division in joint coordination with all authorities division will ensure strict enforcement of audience regulation in the liquor vends,” said Kumar.
Other standalone eateries will also be allowed with 50 percent capacity.
Teashops and juice stores will be allowed to operate till 5pm.
They have to guarantee 100% of eligible staff members in 10 days.
All government offices and departments will work with complete presence from Wednesday.
All personal offices will be allowed to work from 9am to 6pm and guarantee 100% vaccination of staff members.
All stores, commercial and business institutions will be allowed to start from 9am to 5pm with no airconditioning.
Vegetable and fruit stores will be operational from 5am to 5pm.
Factories, production units and building companies have to subject their workers into Covid-19 fast antigen test (RAT) and needs to make certain that their workers require the Covid-19 vaccine in 10 days.
All of critical services, such as gasoline pumps, ATMs, telecommunication, online services, cable and broadcasting solutions, network, IT and IT-enabled providers, milk and dairy distribution, hospitals and pharmacy, will be allowed with no time constraints.
All of e-commerce tasks will be allowed.
