PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry government has proposed to provide free laptops to 12th grade students in government schools, said Minister of N Rangasamy on Monday.
Speaking after unfurling tricolor during the celebration of liberation day, Rangasamy expressed the optimism that the scheme would benefit government 12 school class students, who attended online classes, to prepare well for public examination.
He said the government began to elongate RS 50,000 financial assistance to the families of each victim Covid-19 of the aid fund of the minister’s chairman starting September 8 will extend the financial assistance of the other 50,000 Rs to the families of each victim Covid-19 through the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, he said .
The minister’s chairman said that around 70% of the population who qualified in the Union region had taken the Covid-19 vaccine and showed that people who died because the infection failed to take a vaccine.

Rangasamy believes to fill more than 10,000 posts lying empty in the government sector.
