NEW DELHI: Following Tamil Nadu’s footsteps, Puducherry has decided to cancel class 12 board exams considering the Covid-19 situation.
In view of the Covid-19 second wave in the state, Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin had announced the cancellation of Class 12 board exams on Saturday.
The Tamil Nadu government had held discussions with parents, teachers, educationists, health experts, and political parties last week on conducting the exams.

Puducherry has reported fresh Covid-19 cases below the 1,000-mark for the ninth consecutive day.
On Sunday, the territory reported 640 fresh cases even as 1,138 patients recovered, dropping the active cases to 8,270.
Of them, 7,034 patients are under home isolation and treatment.
Puducherry has so far reported 1.09 lakh cases of which 99,181 patients recovered, registering a recovery rate of 90.9%.
The positivity rate of samples (9,215) tested on Sunday was marked at 6.9%.
