PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry government has decided to reopen college and school for class IX to students of XII on September 1.
Make an announcement in this case after holding a meeting with Namassivayam Minister of Home Affairs and School Education and Higher Education and Education Department, the Chair of the Minister N Rangasamy said the classes at school would be carried out in a rotation.
Rangasamy said most of the teaching faculty members in schools and colleges had a Covid-19 vaccine.
He expressed optimism that the rest will get Jab.
He said the Directorate of Health and Welfare Family would hold special camps in college to manage vaccines to people who qualified.
Rangasamy said the government had also proposed to reopen schools for class I to VIII students in a rotation.
Schools and colleges in neighboring Tamil Nadu will be reopened on September 1.
