Pune: Deputy Chief of Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday said there had been a 50% decline in active cases in the district but had not seen clear third wave easing.
Ajit Pawar, also Minister Guardian Pune, said data from two to three weeks will be very important in determining whether the district has passed the top of the third wave.
“The cases in Mumbai have dropped after its peak.
But we will wait and watch for the next three weeks to determine whether the peak ended in Pune District,” he said after a meeting of the district Covid reviews.
On Sunday January 20-26, Pune District has 90,137 active cases.
It dropped to 45,788 this week – falling 49%.
Even the country registered a decrease in 42% overall in the case.
However, Ajit Pawar recommends a careful approach, because many districts continue to have a high weekly (WPR) levels.
