Pune: More than 1.85 Lakh beneficiaries from 18+ to 60 age groups inoculated in districts from July 22 to 25, despite heavy rains that have created chaos throughout the region.
As many as 1,85,944 beneficiaries vaccinated from July 22 to July 25.
From them, the highest vaccination was recorded on July 23 with 64,111 beneficiaries given a dose.
A official from the Ministry of Health said that a good response can also be attributed to the fact that the vaccine supply remained consistent last week, with more than 1.4 doses of the Lakh vaccine was distributed from July 23 to 25.
Sanjay Deshmukh, assistant director (medical) of the pune circle, “Yes, footsteps reduced if it rains too much, but the beneficiaries find their way to reach the vaccination center.” Meanwhile, on Monday, with enough stock availability, the district recorded vaccination 64,737 beneficiaries.
Speaking of the availability of the next stock, Deshmukh stated that the district would get a covaxin and covishield dose on Thursday.
In the vaccination schedule on Tuesday, Pune Municipal Corporation stated that 61 centers would have a dose of covishield and six would have a dose of covaxin.
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation states that 61 sites will have a covishield dose, while five centers will have a dose of covaxin.
