Pune: Three people rob a 26-year-old woman from her golden chain and cash, collectively worth RS26,000, by threatening it with sharp weapons on Monday night at Bopdev Ghat.
The woman and her fiance (29), from the Road, were on their way back to Pune through the Ghat after sightseeing.
They have stopped on the road when the woman wants to answer nature calls.
When he went near the bush, the three men grabbed it and seized him.
On Tuesday, women’s fiance filed a complaint with the police.
“The woman and her fiance, who were employed with private companies, were recently engaged.
After spending time together at Bopdev Ghat, they began their journey down the hill,” said Senior Inspector Sardar Patil from Khhwa Police on Wednesday.
“After reaching almost the foot of the Ghat, the woman polished her fiance to stop the motorcycle because she wanted to answer nature calls.
He walked about 15m from the road, while his fiance was waiting for him.
Three men sat near the forest.

“The area did not have CCTV supervision, but we checked the recording of the nearest location to see if we could take some instructions about the suspect,” he said.
The police have registered armed robbery cases.
