Pune: The Directorate of Secondary and Medium Educational State High has sent a proposal to withdraw funds to pay 26,000 students who are eligible for medium and medium scholarships.
The Directorate had paid the number of scholarships to nearly 33,000 students from RS 3.5 Crore funds but when they were exhausted, the Directorate had to ask the State Education Department to melt more.
StD V and VIII scholarship examination was carried out on August 8 by the State Examination Board of Maharashtra.
Students get disbursement through direct benefit transfer portal.
The Director of Basic Education, Dattatreya Jagtap, said, “There are some problems by feeding students who create problems in the transfer of the number of scholarships.
Small errors in the name, account details and other information unless the updated correctly cannot be processed.” Jagtap said the proposal was sent to Ministry of Education to make allocations.
The Directorate searched for Rs 8.8 Crore in July was followed up in August.
Not all are declared eligible for monthly scholarships.
The feasibility was decided on the wise district quota allocated by the government and the district-wise achievement list.
