Pune: Gang six people late on Saturday destroyed the windshield of eight parked vehicles, broken shops, robbing cash and attacking the autorickshaw driver and family members in Dapodi.
Police Bhosari has registered three separate cases, including dacoity and robbery, against them.
“We have arrested three suspects and launched another search,” Sub-Inspector of Govind Pawar from Police Bhosari told TII.
A 34-year-old autorickshaw driver who suffered a severe injury in the attack to Tii, “on Saturday night, my father told me that someone had violated the windshield of my car.
I found a big stone stuck in it.” The suspects attended the place .
“When I demanded an answer, the suspects threatened me and warned me not to go to the police.
They also robbed RS850 from me,” he said.
He said that he was talking to mechanics for improvement, but the suspects thought he told the police.
“After some time, they broke into my house and attacked me, my parents and brothers with a cement block,” said the driver of the Autorickshaw.
Then, the suspects pelted rocks to the salon.
“They also attacked one of our workers and seized him,” said the shop owner.
He said that these suspects have harassed shop owners in the area and often extorted money from them, he said.
