Pune: a 21-year-old shot dead by a friend for a small battle

Pune: A 23-year-old man shot dead his friend after a fight for a trivial problem in Adhale Village at Maval Taluka, about 50 km from the city, on Friday morning.
The suspect, Avinash Bhoir, suffered a painful injury to his head and his hand as a victim, Rohan Yewale (21), attacked him with a sharp weapon before he was shot, police said.
Bhair was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hinjewadi, an officer with police Shirgaon said, adding that the firearms made in the country used in crime had been confiscated.
“We will ensure the firearms as soon as the suspect recovered from treatment,” said the Assistant Commissioner Police of Pimpri Chinchwad Sanjay rose-patil.
Ride-patil says Bhir and Yewale are brothers and friends.
“Two days ago, the duo had entered the fight on a small problem,” he said.
The officer said that around 11am on Friday they returned to fighting.
“The suspect claimed that Yewale began to attack him with sharp weapons after that he issued a firearm made by the country and fired three rounds to Yewale,” the officer said.
He said that Yewale was immediately taken to a private hospital in Somanase Phata, where he was declared dead by doctors, he said.
Patil said the reason behind the fight between the two friends was unknown.
