Pune: City airport greatly increases the quality of airport service (ASQ) for the second quarter of 2021, according to the results released by the International Council airport on Tuesday.
The airport, ranked 154th in the previous quarter world, soaring 94 places to be ranked 60th among airports with this size, serving passenger traffic 5-15 million in the Asia Pacific region.
Airport officials claimed that they were constantly trying to ensure uncomfortable passengers in the civil bag.
Airport survey level on 33 parameters; Pune airport has shown a significant increase in most parameters when compared to the first quarter.
The airport loses value in four categories – availability of ATM / money exchangers, shopping facilities, internet services and affordable shopping areas.
The airport is better in all other parameters, per survey.
“Pune airport was recently reported to be the most profitable of all AAA facilities in this country.
Space and land availability is a problem, considering this is mainly an airbase of defense, but the upcoming terminal and multilevel parking facilities will change the airport next year,” an airport official , conceded there was a problem and that they worked to improve them.
In 2019, this airport was ranked 61rd.
It dropped 36 places in 2020, when the survey was carried out only in the first quarter and the four calendar years due to a pandemic.
The results have surprised many regular passengers, who feel the facilities still need a lot of improvement.
“The process of self-examination is a mess and is not organized – there is no social distance, and the authorities do not seem to be able to handle so many passengers.
More to do about the cleanliness and availability of food, among others, at the airport,” Jatin Sarath, Frequent Flyer told Tii.
The new airport director was appointed Santosh Dhoke recently told TI that additional CISF personnel would be placed to ensure orders during security screening.
He also said there was an attempt to complete this year’s multi-level parking facility.
