Pune: at the Hearware Bazar School, a class constant since June

Pune: Yashwant Vidyalaya in Hiware Bazar Village in Ahmednagar has done what schools can achieve in this country in Covid-19 times.
The school can start the physical class from STD I to STD X from the beginning of the academic year in June, and supports them without rest even when Covid-19 cases appeared for 100 days on September 25.
There are 222 students studying at PMS I to VII and 125 students at PMS VIII to X at school.
Gram Panchayat does not have permission to start school from Zilla Parishad or the State Education Department.
But Panchat Samiti took it alone, and to give responsibility to parents too.
They put the Covid-19 prevention system in place, and started school after guarantees to students and parents.
The school has part of the Covid case during this period which is effectively managed by Gram Panchayat without disturbing routines.
These good practices are now a model, and the State Education Department made special attention about the success story on October 4 when schools opened back across Maharashtra for a higher class.
Sarpanch Popatrao Pawar said that a symptomatic child reported by the school was handled by a designated Panchayat member who would warn the village frontline worker immediately and Gram Panchayat.
“People appointed will take action and carry out the procedures needed for students including testing and treatment.
At the same time, other students will also be tested for infection and quarantine, if necessary.
Parents show great support during this period, and Therefore, we have a successful model, “he added.
Gram Panchayat conducted a survey among villagers starting April 2 to April 15 to restart physical schools.
They found that students were happy with that thought, but their parents were hesitant.
Deepak Seringger Middle School Teacher said that the Gram Panchayat was a team of six members, including Panchayat members and several parents, to monitor the house-to-door house, and the residents of Simsatik Village were immediately reported to the Ministry of Health.
“Between April 15 and April 30, the village became free of Covid-19 and then Gram Panchayat along with teachers convinced parents that if each took responsibility without fear of the virus, only then gram gram Panchayat continued the class.
Parents Agree and from June 15, Hearware Bazar’s Yashwant Vidyalaya buzzed with students from VIII, IX and X, followed by students from V, VI and VII in the next four days and in the next four days students IV also joined, “he added.
Primary school teachers, Shobha Pawar, said, “During this period, a student went to travel to Bhandardara with his parents and tested positively when he returned.
Quick action was taken by health workers and Gram Panchayat, to treat students.
Other students in class Also tested and case management is handled properly.
Not one day of the class is disturbed.
We continue with our routine.
“On another occasion, a student participated in the family gathered and tested positively.
Sarpanch then met all students and asked them whether they wanted to stay at home or attend a physical class.
“Students do not realize that socializing will inhibit the school model.
So, they unanimously say they want to go to school and will refrain from any socialization activities,” Pawar added.
They are advised to keep away from weddings, gatherings, holidays or fortune parties pots.
They followed the instructions wisely.
Over time, if a student is tested positively, the antigen test from other children is also carried out and those who have a positive result will be immediately referred to the health center.
So far, schools have less than five cases.
Gram Panchayat is now trying to replicate the same model in ten villages around it.
