Pune: Just a few days after the Sputnik V debut at the City Hospital, data from the Ministry of Health showed that most of the shares had gone to the youngest recipient in the Covid program – group 18-44.
About 2,969 people in this age group have received a vaccine made by Russia.
Only about 302 beneficiaries (in groups 45-59) and only 96 (in groups above-60) have chosen for Sputnik V.
City Hospital that offers Sputnik v says the 21-day interval is short between doses, and the efficacy of 92 that is claimed%, has become a big draw among young groups.
Data also shows that covishield forms 92% of all jabs given in Pune District.
Covaxin’s contribution is 8% while Sputnik V – third shot – currently has a 0.07% section.
