Pune: Damaged Fake Currency Rackets, 6 held

Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police on Monday claimed to have damaged the manufacturing inter-state racket and distributed a record of counterfeit currencies with the arrest of six men.
The police have recovered 1,402 false denominations of RS 2,000 and 929 Hospital 500 denominations from them.
“The suspects have been detained from Nigdi, Pandharpur, Satara, Mumbai and Gujarat,” said Police Commissioner Pimpri Chinchwad Krishna Prakash.
The first arrest in this case was made on June 23, on a tip-off received by the police hit Kishore Padher and Ramesh Massar from Nigdi police.
The police recommended 293 fake records of Rs 2,000 from the suspect Gorakha Pawar (30).
The police also recover 255 fake records of Rs 2,000 and 26 RS 500 records from the pawar house in Pandharpur.
“During the interrogation, Pawar revealed the name of his friend Vithal Shevale (38) from Satara.
Police Nigdi then arrested Shevale and restored 180 and 21 fake records of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500.
