Pune: Fewer permanent SIM seeker in 2021

Pune: The amount is satisfied with having a student license and updating rather than going for final driving tests, and having a permanent has increased in Pune in 2021 compared to the previous two years, said RTO officials.
“Up to 2020, at least 25% of people from the total license seekers will not apply to permanent licenses in Pune.
The percentage in 2021 has increased to almost 40%,” said an RTO official to TI.
The difference between a permanent and student license issued in 2021 reached nearly 64,000, in 2020 it was almost 49,000.
In 2019, the difference was around 60,000.
“In the pandemic, the RTO office was closed for months in 2020 which resulted in appointments to appear for a permanent license test that became Haywire.
But then, the difference continued in 2019 (pre-pandemic year) and in 2021 also when the situation was more or Less normal, not including the second wave.
Other reasons can be a facility to appear for student license tests that sit at home introduced last year.
Also, someone does not need to know driving to do a student license test.
Everyone needs to know is a sign that is Different and traffic rules, “said the official.
Before 2021, someone had to go to the RTO office to get a student license and appeared in the examination at the computer under the obedience of the Inspector RTO.
Now, someone can do it at home and print a license if someone continues the test.
“There are people who don’t want to get in for the final test because they are afraid of being infected with Covid-19.
The situation is Pune can be better than other RTO offices because someone can get an appointment for a permanent license in a week.
There are certain people who get a license Their learners but have to get out of town because Covid-19 and therefore cannot appear for a permanent license test.
About 10% of people do not care to get a permanent license, “Sanjiv Bhor, Deputy Pune RTO, told TII.
Sanjeev Thore, a driving school instructor, said they have many people who learn to drive and want to get a license.
“However, some trainees want to learn to drive and then wait a while to get their license.
The most common reason is fear of infection.
In and before 2019, the lack of self-confidence is between the main reasons.”
