PUNE: Pune Rural police on Tuesday arrested one of the three partners of the SVS Aqua Technologies company at Urawade in Mulshi under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code in the Monday’s devastating fire.
The police have registered a case against the two partners, who are the family members of the arrested owner.

The bodies burnt beyond recognition.
“We have arrested Nikunj Shah (39) after prima facie probe revealed the company’s negligence behind the fire.
We have not arrested Shah’s father as he is 68 years of age.
While Shah’s brother is in the gulf at present,” Abhinav Deshmukh, superintendent of police Pune Rural told TOI.
Deshmukh said, “Prima facie probe revealed that the fire caused due to negligence.
There were only two entry and exit points in the company.
Fire fighting system in the the company too was not up to date.”
