PUNE: The Pimpri Chinchwad police on Saturday registered a case against four physicians, operating with a private clinic at Chakan, for instance a Covid-19 patient from Rs1.
5 lakh.
The individual, a resident of Ozar at Pune district, has been admitted to the hospital this past year.
“The hospital billed him a full of Rs2.
5 lakh towards ventilator, ICU, drug and allied prices.
A study conducted by a panel beneath Chakan Urban hospital superintendent Nanda Dhavale demonstrated the invoice number was Rs1.
5 lakh over the true price,” helper inspector K Rathod of their Chakan authorities told TOI on Sunday.
He said that the government were since following the issue with the hospital police to return the extra cash to the individual but without avail.
“Finally, the Chakan rural hospital superintendent on Saturday lodged a complaint against both physicians and also the FIR was therefore registered,” explained Rathod.
“We’ve reserved the four physicians under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 188 (disobedience) of the Indian Penal Code,” he further added.
The individual and his relatives guessed that they had been overcharged from the hospital.
“They approached the local authorities and registered a complaint, after that, the rural hospital at Chakan completed a question.
The research verified that the hospital was really charged the individual Rs1.
5 lakh longer,” Rathod stated.
