Pune: The number of Daily Covid-19 cases fell to 821 in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Monday, with testing reduced to 16,819 on weekends.
Both Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad city boundaries, as well as rural areas, registered fewer new cases rather than recovery, a report by Health Officer Bhagwan Bhagwan showed.
A total of 1,157 patients were dismissed at PMR on Monday, which included 646 people from rural and Canton areas, 289 from the PMC limit and 222 of the Pimpri Chinchwad area.
The PMC and PCMC boundaries add less than 200 new patients, while rural areas and Cantonese joint record 446 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
With this, the calculation of positive cases in this area increased to 10.72 lakh, while the recovery reached 10.44 lakh.
Ten more patients surrendered to infection at PMR on Monday, taking the death count to 18,175.
