Pune: Pune rural police on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old daily wage worker on charges of extinguishing his wife to death and burying his body near their home.
The murder took place on Friday afternoon in Vakhari Village in Daund Taluka.
A officer from Yavat police said that a suspect’s acquaintance, Ramesh Waghmare, came to their home.
“When he was typical of Waghmare’s wife, he admitted that he had killed him and buried him near their home,” the officer said.
As long as it was questioned, Waghmare revealed that he and his wife had a fight for money and that he had killed him in anger.
“We have explored the body from that place,” the officer said.
