Pune: The appointment of advocates to fight the case related to the plan to develop 23 villages combined at Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has become a conflict problem between the BJP and powerful opposition parties.
BJP, who passed the resolution to appoint an advocate on behalf of the Civic body was criticized by opposition parties including Congress and NCP.
They claim that BJP has misused public funds.
BJP supports his steps and emphasizes that the appointment is valid and correctly morally.
“The WRIT petition has made the Mayor of Pune as one of the parties.
Because he is the head of the Civic body it is the responsibility of the PMC to provide legal assistance to him.
It is the administrative task to represent and suggest the body of the Civic scene about the problem in court.
But we do not get a collaboration from Civil administration includes the Office of the Commissioner, “said the leader of the house of Ganesh Bidkar at PMC.
The leader of the Aba Bagul Congress at PMC said that “the appointment of lawyers for these cases, was a waste of public money.” Development Plan (DP) for 23 villages Joins within the City Corporate Limit Pune will be designed by PMRDA.
The state government has issued a notification of it.
The Order of the State said that PMRDA will work as a “Special Planning Authority” for DP.
But a group of BJP leaders have opposed the appointment and have gone to court against it.
The mayor is one of the parties in this case.
The problem is in the Bombay High Court.
