Pune: A woman riding a two-wheeled chuckle was chased and attacked by leopards in Mandavgan Farata Village in Shirur Tehsil, about 70 km from the city, on Sunday night.
Rani Yuvaraj Ghadge (42) Congratulated with a minor injury and was treated at the primary health center.
“The medical examination revealed that Rani did not accept deep injury.
There was a sign of injury in the hands and back which was caused by the Claw Leopard.
His condition is normal now, but he is in trauma.
We have notified his family members not to leave him alone,” said Range Forest Officer Manohar Maisekar from the range of forest shirur.
According to forest officials, the attack took place when Ghadge, with his son, returned after visiting his brother’s place in the village of Wadgaon Rasai.
“Leopard suddenly appeared from the sugar cane fields, chasing the motorcycle for a few meters, and attacked Ghadge, who was riding pillion,” another forest official said.
“This is the first attack reported in Shirur Tehsil,” Maisekar said.
