Pune: Angry with his father for registering at the Matrimonial agent to remarry, a bakery owner hit him to death on Thursday night at Rajgurunagar.
Pune rural police have arrested the 47-year-old man.
“The murder took place on Thursday night when he was accused of Shekhar Borhade using a blunt object to hit his 80-year-old father, Shankar, hard on his head and tried to decapbilities,” said a police officer.
Shekhar then approached Khed himself and told the incident.
A police team then reached his house and found Shankar dead, police officer said.
The police said Mrs.
Shekhar had died 10 years ago and his father lived with him, his wife and three children.
However, he often feels lonely and spends his time reading a newspaper or watching a video on his cellphone.
“Shekhar told the police that he had studied from his wife on Thursday that for the past three months his father had examined a different wedding bureau advertisement in the newspaper and had registered his name,” said an officer from Police Khed.
Around 3:30 a.m.
on Thursday, Shekhar returned home for lunch and his father alone.
After eating, Shekhar asked his father whether he had registered with an agent of Matrimony.
“Shekhar told us that initially, his father denied him, but when he checked his father’s cellphone, he found that he had registered and also paid the allegations,” the officer said.
A shekhar was angry first trying to lose his father’s throat with a kitchen knife, and then hit him to death with a rock and then tried to decapbly, the officer added.
He then arrived at the police station to notify them and arrested under Section 302 (murder) from the Indian criminal code.
