PUNE: The job of a critical ramp segment to change over Metro paths in the elevated part into the underground extend, also vice-versa, is at the last stage. Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro) is aiming in finishing the remainder of the job by following month. The ramp has been constructed in the Metro’s Agriculture College depot — that the stage linking the underground along with the moves that were raised. The ramp is Part of the Metro’s Pimpri into Swargate corridor. The Pimpri into Agriculture College extend is a raised viaduct section, and the Metro will journey underground until Swargate. 2 box culverts for just two Metro lines have been assembled at the website from the cut-and-cover system. The top part of the ramp has been stuffed and covered by dirt, so the place can be used for different functions, ” a MahaMetro official stated. “The 500m-long ramp will assist in the Metro’s smooth entry-exit in the raised portion into the underground extend. The job was in the past couple of months and it’s reached the last stage. The backfilling has been done. It takes another month to finish the remainder of the job,” the officer stated. MahaMetro has completed the excavation of the subterranean tube, beginning out from the Agriculture College towards the Civil Court. “The building of a viaduct up into the Agriculture College can be in the advanced phase. Metro will cross the railroad tracks near Khadki to input the Range Hills elongate and travel involving the Agriculture College ramp prior to moving underground. The elevation of the ramp was reduced after Range Hills,” the officer stated. Hemant Sonawane, general director (public relations) of both MahaMetro, said that the company was coming with just two depots, one each at Agriculture College and also Vanaz.
