Pune: Pune, Khadki and Dehu Road Cantonments have increased RT-PCR testing which are given concerns caused by the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus.
The Cantonon medical officer said that they had so far not noticed the increase in positive cases.
However, they still instruct their doctors to test patients who show symptoms such as Covid in their Ministry of Out-patients (OPD) and clinical fever.
Collectively, the three boards are testing at least 100 people every day.
Dr.
Uday Bhujbal, who works under the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB), said, “We are doing at least 40-50 RT-PCR tests every day.
At present, four patients are found covid-positive, and they do not show symptoms.
Covid situation In the PCB area it is under control until now.
Still, we have appealed to residents to advance to test whether they develop any symptoms.
