Pune: Mucorikosis related covid or black mushroom cases may have dropped significantly, but a small amount of fresh infection continues to surface.
Last week, four new cases of covid mucorikosis were reported in Pune District.
In addition, 29 patients recovered in various hospitals, including Sassoon General Hospital, in this district.
With this, the total number of covid mukormycosis cases has reached 1,537 in the region in the last eight months.
From them, 1,284 had recovered and 224 died.
