Pune: a group of National Defense Academy (NDA) cadets on Sunday delivered a victory fire or ‘Swarnim Varsh Mashaal’ for about 8 km as part of the celebration of ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ at Khadakwasla.
The 50th anniversary of India’s glorious victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war was celebrated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh.
As part of the celebration, the flame turned on from the eternal flame commemorating the National War by the Prime Minister on December 16, 2020.
The fire arrived at NDA.
It was accepted by Lt of the Asit Mistry Gen, Academy Commander, with officers, staff and cadets with weapons presentations at the ‘Trishakti’ Nda gate.
After Semushuk’s reception, Mashaal was delivered by 270 cadets from 18 squadons in a sequentially through a route around 8 km which passed all the leading landmarks at the State Tri-Services Training Academy.
Civil defense, school children and other civilians who worked at the Academy lined up on the way to welcome the victory fire.

After that, this event peaked with the formal submission from the fire victory back to the ‘Swarnim Vijay Mashaal’ team.
