Pune: District authority said on Tuesday that more than 300 covid vaccination sites were closed for almost every day in August due to severe covishield vaccine shortages.
These are the Civic-Run sites which are mainly affected because private hospitals still have good shot backup, officials added.
The new dose batch is now expected to arrive on Wednesday night.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, said, “Supply has been low for the first 10 days of August.
But we covered almost 2.6 lakh people just received around 92,000 doses of covishield and 46,000 covaxin doses.
