Pune: Only 14% of patients found infected with the symptoms developed by Omicron, while the remaining 86% are completely free, the latest report from Pune District Administration has revealed.
The report showed that 76% of patients were vaccinated, while 37% had not received Covid’s shot.
The district government conducted a symptom analysis of 113 patients with omicron infections.
Of the 113 patients, 97 did not develop any symptoms until the time of their disposal and only 16 had mild symptoms.
“Infections and diseases are two different things.
One can capture infection but can remain asymptomatic or disease .
“Those who asymptomatics are only given vitamin supplements.
A small number of patients with mild symptoms are treated with paracetamol and other supporting drugs,” said Nodal PMC officer Dr.
Sanjeev Wavre.
A total of 75 samples, including eight of Pune District, were found to be infected with Omicron variants throughout the state on Tuesday, taking their calculations to 578.
