Pune: The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) will seal the store without trading permission from September 15.
There are 700 stores that run without a license, officials said.
“The license is needed for fire safety and hygienic conditions.
We have decided to act against violators.
Their shops will be sealed until further notice,” said Amit Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, PCB.
The Board has issued public notifications in this matter.
It has also sent a notification to several stores in recent weeks.
However, the Board did not receive a response from them, officials said.
“The cost for the license is in the range of RS800 to RS3,000.
Traders must register through our website and send the required documents online,” Kumar said.
A applicant must submit fire safety and cleanliness certificate while applying for a license.
Many leading restaurants and restaurants do not have this certificate, but they still offer eating facilities, the source of the board.
“We have sent notices to several offenders.
They have not responded to our notification,” Kumar said.
The council cannot begin actions against the previous offenders because of the limitation of pandemic, Kumar said.
“But this time, the board team physically will visit shops, restaurants and restaurants to check the license,” he added.
According to the Act Cantonment 2006, the Board can also charge a fine of RS 50,000 from offenders.
Sexy traders say they don’t know how to process online applications.
“I have never applied for an online trading license.
The board must also provide facilities for document physical submission,” said a shopkeeper.
Traders, who received a trade license before 2006, did not necessarily apply, except for certain exceptions, stated the Cantonment Law, 2006.
“The council is authorized to serve certain stores or restaurants in no hygienic conditions.
PCB has sent notifications to them three months ago .
If they do not maintain the right hygienic conditions, we will seal shops, “said a senior official from the PCB Health Department.
