Pune: City Police have prepared dry Panama’s reports as digital forensic evidence in two cases of Maharashtra controls for organized crime laws (MCOCA) by recruiting crime scenes using recoverable CCTV recordings from various spots.
Commissioner Pune Pune Amitabh Gupta ordered Pancanama Digital Dry.
It was done two weeks ago.
“This has been done for the first time in the city of Pune.
It helps prove the identity and involvement of the men who are arrested in crime,” said Assistant Commissioner of Sunil Pawar Police, who was investigating both cases.
In May, the crime branch official had arrested Deepak Mali (25) and Mukesh Salunkhe (25) Hadapsar to take the gold chain from an elderly person in Pasulan, after the chain reception case was registered with Châthrungi police.
“The two suspects were involved in 25 cases that grabbed the chain.
We have begged McOCa against them in June,” said Pawar.
The police have confiscated motorbikes, shirts, boots, jackets, handkerchiefs, and even masks.
In another case from the robbery that took place on June 11 at Manjari, the crime branch caught Sonya aka Harish Bhosale (24) and Purusottam Rajendra Veer (25) of Hadapsar.
“Both were involved in 24 robbery cases and other body violations,” said Pawar, added, “the duo, armed with sharp weapons, has robbed cellphones, cash and watches, collectively worth Rs 12,000, from a man walking to him The residence in Manjari.
“” We want to create strong evidence in both cases after asking for McOCA provisions.
Thus, we decided to make a dry Digital Panamaama report to re-confirm their identity in crime, “said Pawar.
The police have also sent crime scenes that were created back to the country’s forensic laboratory.
“CCTV in 12 different places in the city has recorded the movement of two chain snatchers arrested,” he said.
The crime scene was recreated by asking the suspects to wear the same clothes they were wearing during crime.
“The suspects looked the same as the original record and were recording in the recreated scene,” said Pawar.
Likewise, the suspects involved in Manjari’s robbery were taken to the scene where they robbed pedestrians.
“We recreate the whole scene around midnight,” he said.
When contacted, advocate and Cybercrime expert Gaurav Jachak said, “The police can re-create the entire crime scene for further investigation.
However, there are no provisions in the law to do such exercises.
The original footage of CCTV cameras, which have recorded crime, has been found by The police with a hash value (#), so there is no need to do a dry run-run like that.
“” Apart from this, if the vehicle and clothing are recovered, which is seen in CCTV recording (from the crime scene), it is sufficient as evidence in court, “He said.
