Pune: Three people were arrested on Sundays on a positive accusation as a member of the cattle protection group and extorted RS2,000 from transportation operators transporting three calves in a truck on Rohkal Road near Chakan on Saturday.
“The actual member of the Gazakhak group, which was claimed by their suspects, then reached the place.
The police recovered cash from the defendant.
They were produced before the court on Monday and released with a bail,” said D D Hande, police investigation officer Chakan.
Atul Raut (33) from Neral in Raigad district filed a complaint against them.
