Pune: Pre-covid footfalls in the mall, restaurant

Pune: The mall records high footsteps on weekends before and during Diwali when people come out in droves to shop and visit bars and restaurants on commercial property.
SGS Mall at MG Road recorded the highest footsteps in both weeks and also increased considerable sales.
Vikas Ladhe, Head of the Center, SGS Mall, said, “We saw an increase in sales of 120 percent, the record number since we reopened after the second wave.
Sales and footsteps continued to increase since last month.
They were highest in the last weekend of October and first in November .
“Surjit Singh Purohit, COO of Amanora Mall, Magarpatta, said malls across the country have noticed the ‘revenge sales’ – excessive customers to make up for lost time in a pandemic.
He added, “Post-diwali, we expect Multiplex to bring footsteps.
They contribute to 15 percent of the current total footsteps.” Vicky Kumar, a visitor at Phoenix Marketcity, said, “After being locked up at home for 1.5 years , I can bring my teen out for the film this weekend.
They are not permitted at the previous mall because they cannot vaccinate.
“Samiya Patel, a mall visitor at Pimpri-Chinchwad, said,” Watch people shopping and eating together, with a shop -Toko decorated with lights begging festive enthusiasm.
I came to buy furniture but survive to enjoy this environment.
“Sandy Singh’s restaurant shared,” We have been booked for the capacity for two weekends and sales are at the pre-covid level.
Fear of waves The third has been taken over by a lively mood.
“Baner Resident Shilpi Mangaokar,” We have family visits and pandemics have taught you I to win that moment.
