Pune: The Estate Defense Office (DEO) for the circle of Pune is conducting a survey to identify defense soil that violates under its jurisdiction in eight districts.
Surveys, with a specific focus on the measurement and demarcation of the land of defense, is being carried out as part of national training initiated by the Director General of Defense (DGDE).
Lastly held in 2012.
“The latest drives must be completed in 2020.
However, it cannot be done because of Covid’s pandemic.
Now, we plan to complete mid-November practice,” said a senior DGDE official.
He said more than 10,000 hectares of land defense throughout the country had violated so far.
“This survey will help us identify new encroachment, if any,” he said.
