At present, farmer groups hold the market in more than 60 locations in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
They also give to the residential community.
More than 1,000 farmers are attached to larger groups, which supply their products.
The location has been jointly identified by farmer groups and civil bodies.
Narendra Pawar, who has been associated with weekly farmer markets over the past few years, said there was a need to review existing locations and also identified locations in the newly joined area.
