Pune: Mayor Muralidhar Mohol said that Mandal Ganesh in the city had decided to celebrate the Ganesh Festival which will come in a simple way in the background of the Covid-19 pandemic and the third wave of possible.
Mohhol delivered the Ganesh Mandals meeting at Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) which was also attended by leaders of various political parties and city police authorities.
The mandal office carrier Ganesh during the meeting stated their views on simple celebrations.
Mohol said that the city had celebrated the Ganesh festival in a simple way in 2020 because of a pandemic.
He said, “Most Mandal Ganesh decided to continue a simple celebration like last year.
Mandal also supports the process.
We thank Ganesh Mandals for their simple celebration decisions”.
Mohhol also appealed to citizens for soaking Ganesh’s idols in homes.
He said that PMC planned to establish around 150 tanks while for soaking idol Ganesh.
He also said that the online system is being arranged for the mandal to get permission to mandap.
Ganesh Mandal Workers don’t need to visit the PMC office to get the required permission, he added.
