Pune: Police Sahakarnagar on Monday night arrested the son of a police officer and seek his aide on charges of launching a murder attack on a man for a small problem on the track adjacent to the Bharati Vidyapeth hospital on Sunday night.
The victim was injured, Kalpesh Deshmukh (25), suffered serious head injuries.
He recovered in a private hospital.
The police said the young man who was arrested, Omkar Jadhav (20), was the last year of BA students from the city-based universities.
After buying medicines and ice cream from the drug store, he walked through a group of six to seven people.
Senior Inspector Swati Desai said, “He brushed his legs from one of the people in the group, triggered change.
A group member misused him and left.
The suspect rushed to the nearest house, took sickle and returned with his friend.
