Pune: Police Pimpri Chinchwad on Sunday arrested a 37-year-old man, who was on his way since September 25, 2018, after raping and brutally killed his seven-year-old neighbor’s daughter in Pimpri.
After a constant follow-up and created a network of informants in the original village of the suspect in Uttar Pradesh, police officer Namdev Raut from the Crime Branch of Pimpri Chinchwad received a tip-off that the suspect Rajkumar Kuril in the village.
“With the help of the local police, our team led by Nandkumar Kadam’s sub-inspector took him to detention,” said Police Commissioner Pimpri Chinchwad Krishna Prakash.
On September 24, the girl had filed a brilliant with PimPRI police against an unknown person for kidnapping her daughter.
Three days later, the girl’s padlock was found found in the open land of Hindustan antibiotics in Pimpri.
The girl was confused to death and post-mortem reports confirmed that she was raped before the murder.
During the investigation, the police found that the suspect Kuril, who was the neighbor of the girl, did not return home since September 25.
The police also knew that a few days before the girl lost, Kurni every day using her chocolate and biscuits.
Some locals have told the police that they had seen the girl by Kurali on September 24.
Then, the police also found CCTV footage where the suspect was seen with the girl.
Meanwhile, the girl’s father died in a month after his death.
A few months later, the girl also breathed her breath, leaving two small children.
Police Commissioner Pimpri Chinchwad Krishna Prakash said that since then Pimpri Chinchwad police tried to track the suspect.
But, he was not traced.
In February last year, Shailesh Gaikwad’s crime branch inspector was representative for an investigation.
“His team visited the original suspect village in Uttar Pradesh.
They visited every house in the village and told them about the cruel crime carried out by the suspect,” Krishna Prakash said.
It was revealed that the suspect had not yet come to his native village even after his father’s death.
“Even though there are our teams in constant contact with informants.
We have even sent cellphones to one of the informants,” said Commissioner.
He said that this constant effort produced results.
“On July 9, we got a tip-off of him.
We took him to detention on Sunday,” Krishna Prakash said.
Deputy Commissioner Police Sudhir Hiremath said, “We questioned the suspect Kuril, about where he spent three years.
He has returned to police custody until July 19.” (The identity of the victim has not been revealed to protect its privacy according to the direction of the Supreme Court about cases related to sexual violence)
