Pune: The branch of Pune Police Crime on Sunday caught two on charges that installed images, where they posed with sharp weapons, on the smartphone messaging application.
The police said the duo had uploaded these photos as updates to their status.
The crime branch has registered two separate cases against them under the provisions of Indian weapons acting with the Police Station DECCAN and Farakshana.
A team led by Senior Inspector Shailesh Shankhe and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Gaikwad arrested the two men, which was identified as Rohan Ramesh Gholap (21) from Gokhalenagar, from Senapati Bapat Road, and Akhil aka Ganesh Deshmukh (30) from Kasba Peth (30).
Constable Sachin Jadhav received information about the presence of Gholap near the Z bridge.
Tip-off also stated that GHOLAP was armed with the sword.
The police arrested him and restored the sword.
Similarly, Constable Ajay Thorat received information about the presence of Deshmukh in Kasba Peth.
The police intercepted Deshmukh and found his sword.
