Pune: City Police on Tuesday arrested KAUSTUBH Arvind Marathe (54), a partner at the marate jewelry company, and his wife, Manjiri (48), in the alleged case of cheating Crore RS5.09 submitted on March 11 against a woman living in a cathrud .
In August 11, the police had arrested Pranav Marathe (26) and ordered Kaustubh, Manjiri, and one family member to cheat on, a criminal violation of trust and other charges.
“Manjiri approached the Supreme Court for a guarantee.
But the court told him to be first present in front of Pune Polis,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (economic violations) Bhagyashri Navatake said on Wednesday.
“After this, Kaustubh and Manjiri reported to the police,” he said, a city court on Wednesday ordered the detention of the Custodial Duo until September 18.
Eighteen depiTo, including a complainant, has accused that you are getting collected deposits since January 2017, but failed to pay the promised return or the principal number.
Milind, aka Balwant Arvind Marathe, the owner of a company that has his main showroom on Jalan Laxmi, has shot himself dead in his office room on December 27 last year.
According to complaints, the Director of Jewelry Store, Milind Marathe, and family members floated in investment schemes for people in 2017.
Marathe and others claim that investors will get a handsome return.
People invest in schemes at their cathrud shop for one or two years.
But the jewelry store does not give any return.
