Pune: Hinjewadi police are looking for two people who offer lift to 24-year-old employees from private companies on their motorcycles and rob smart phones and cash, collectively worth RS12,000, around 1 in the morning.
The duo attacked Anil Maruti Munde from Hinjewadi on his head with a stone before robbing valuables.
Munde has submitted a complaint to Hinjewadi police.
According to Police Hinjewadi, Munde worked in a private company in Pirangut.
He left his office late at night on Thursday after finishing his job.
The police said Munde walked to the Road Pirangut-Hinjewadi.
He was waiting for a vehicle to reach his house when two men riding motorbikes offered him the elevator.
Without suspecting anything, Munde sat on a motorcycle and motorcyclist driving a vehicle to Hinjewadi.
The police said, “After reaching Phase III Hinjewadi, the park on Jalan Pirangut-Hinjewadi, the suspect stopped the vehicle.
They issued a threat to Munde, kicked and punched Munde.
One of the suspects hit Munde on his head with stones after that he suffered in his head.
The duo then robbed RS6,000 cash and his cellphone commensurate with the same amount.
