Pune: Vettis Hindustan Classic Vocalist and Dramagry Kegai Shiladar, known for his work at the Musical Marathi theater, breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 70 years.
Shiladar died at the City Hospital after a short disease.
His death raises many meetings from famous figures in the fields of art and politics, such as Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Principal Ajit Pawar, and many others.
Shilaedar, a classic trained vocalist, is known for his sweet voice, but the presence of authoritative stage, is immortalized in countless production, such as the adaptation of Marathi’s music theater from the ancient drama of Mricchakatika, and the Kanhopatra sangeet, about the life and ideals of saint and the 15th century Kanhopatra poet, among others.
Shiladar is part of the Marathi music theater room for almost 60 years.
He has participated in the show by the Marathi Rangabhumi Naatak company from the age of 10.
The group was founded by his parents Jayaram and Jaymala Shiledar, who was a stage actor achieved.
Jayaram works with Stalwarts like V Shantaram.
Jaymala received many awards for his work in the Musical Theater, including Padma Shri, in 2013.
Both the mother and son served as President Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Sammelan, 15 years apart.
While Jaymala was elected in that position in 2003, at the 83rd Convention, Keerti served at the post at the 98th Convention in 2018.
Jaymala died in 2013.
