Pune: Residents have only a week to register as voters if they want to use their franchise in the company selection in the state next year.
Commissioner of the Madan UPS election told TII on Monday that citizens had to register before 30 November to ensure that they could choose in civil elections.
“Those who want to vote in the upcoming civil elections must register before 30 November to find their names in the voter list.
Those who will be January 18 next year can also register as voters,” Madan Toi said on Monday.
He urged voters to check their names on the portal and asked their questions through Maha Chatbot or through the true voter application on the cellphone.
Until now, the state has 8.9 voters and an updated list will be published on January 5 ahead of the Civic poll.
Voters can now check their names with a photo ID and voting station.
On Monday, the Commissioner of the State Election launched Mahavoter Chatbot, facilities for voter registration, and to check their names on the voter list.
“Those who have not registered as voters can use this facility to register and can even check the name and address of their polling station,” added officials.
The election commission of the state selection and the Gupshup Institute has provided facilities for voter registration and answers to all related requests through the Mahavoter Chatbot by clicking the button.
Bot will help answer questions relating to voter registration, said the officials of the Activalist residents Ravindra Sinha said that the Mahavoter Chatbot service, available on the number of WhatsApp Sec, is a user-friendly method for guiding voters on registration and name search.
“It will provide the location of the voter registration camp and detail officers contact Wise elections for each selector to reach further assistance,” Sinha said after accessing the Chatbot.
He said that the Country Election Commission must have wise info on the city ward in the drop-down menu for city companies going for next year’s election, which will educate citizens and even help in registration of new voters.
