Pune: Four unknown gangs shoot the wrestler to death at Shelpimpalgaon near Chakan, about 30 km from Pune, Thursday night.
The victim, Nagesh Karale, was attacked when he would start a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at around 10:30 a.m.
on Thursday.
Karale was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was said dead by a doctor.
Pimpri Chinchwad police have fanned four teams to track attackers.
“The murder of the Prima Facie is Fallout from the old dispute.
We are working on several instructions,” said an officer, police Pimpri Chinchwad.
Karale is the wrestler and also runs a wrestling academy in Khed Taluka.
